Les Chalets de Praroustan by Actisource

The chalet is in a great spot, and the shuttle makes getting to the gondolas convenient. But the room layout was disappointing. We paid extra for bed linen, yet the sheets and blankets were filthy and covered in hair. I can't understand how bedding in that state could be provided for an additional charge. It seriously affected our stay, since a good night's sleep matters when you're spending the day skiing.

We left extremely disappointed with the comfort and service at Les Chalets de Praroustan. The apartment was cold and hard to heat because drafts came in under the doors. Bathroom water was lukewarm or cold, the bathtub drained on its own due to a technical fault, and it was poorly cleaned, with hair left inside. There was also hair on the mattress. Only two towels were provided for four people, and basic comfort and amenities were lacking. No one met us in person despite the problems we had. We were told to clean before leaving, but there weren't any cleaning products. Our few interactions with the person in charge were dismissive and unprofessional, making things worse. The residence's service and comfort fell well below standard, and we absolutely don't recommend it.

We found it a great base for hikes and trips to Barcelonette and the Ubaye Valley. The apartment was comfortable for our family of five, with two bedrooms, a bunk bed, a roomy living area, and a balcony with panoramic views.

The welcome from the staff was mediocre, and having to clean at departure with no products left was frustrating. The apartment looked amazing when we arrived, but the chalet for eight was much too cramped for eight people: storage was scarce, the ski room tiny, there wasn't room for everything, and the table was too small. No Wi-Fi, which is astonishing. It's far from everything, too. At €1,500 a week for 55m², the value isn't there. A smile and a little kindness would've helped.
