The restaurant is the real highlight for us. The food is superb, close to Michelin standard, and the prices feel very reasonable for that quality. Uzerche is a lovely little town to stay in, too. We came back for two nights this year after a one-night stop last year, and had another great stay. We’ll be back.

I’d seen a few comments questioning the restaurant’s value, especially about the beef cooked at a low temperature, so I tried it to judge for myself. Mine was fantastic. At that level, a €42 menu is nowhere near expensive. It’s a beautiful restaurant, with charming staff, great wine and lovely dishes. Full recommendation from me. Keep it up, everyone! 😍

We had a lovely family lunch here, and the staff were so attentive about making sure the vegetarian in our group had delicious food too. The hotel was great, with nice rooms and super service. Our room looked out over the gorge, and it was very dog friendly.

Being close to the old city center makes it easy to explore on foot, and the hotel is a good base for seeing the Limousin region while enjoying the comforts of France. The drive up the street to reach it is a bit of an adventure, so be ready for that if you're coming by car, as most guests do. It might also help to paint parking lines in the courtyard, if possible, to fit as many cars as possible overnight.
