The calm atmosphere and stunning views make Hotel La Bastide d’Iris in Vagnas a wonderful place for travelers. The rooms were immaculate, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel perfect. Service was exceptional. A true gem, and one I’d highly recommend for a luxurious, unforgettable stay.

We spent 3 nights here while visiting the many interesting places in the Ardèche. Staff were very welcoming, and our spacious room was lovely and quiet, with air-conditioning. The bed was comfortable, and the modern bathroom was spotless each day. Breakfast had a wide choice of food, with eggs cooked to order. It was self-service, with guests required to wear masks and numbers limited while serving. There was also an outside terrace with suitably spaced tables. Everything was very clean and felt COVID-secure.

The property is beautiful and peaceful, and it felt like being in a movie. Our garden room was wonderfully spacious, and both it and the amenities were super clean. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and extremely helpful. A perfect choice if you want to relax and recharge. The Wi-Fi was terrible, so forget about doing a work call from there. I also didn’t think it was acceptable to charge 2eur for a Nespresso capsule coffee that you prepare yourself in the lobby, after staff mistakenly removed the one provided free in the room. At a 4-star hotel costing almost 200eur per night, it’s a matter of principle and didn’t fit the rest of the service experience.
