With the Michelin-starred restaurant now moved up the road, the owners seem to have been left figuring out what to do with this space, and the result feels muddled. The awkward setup doesn't help: tables are too high, chairs too low, and some diners end up on stools at tall tables. They push champagne as soon as you arrive, the decent-but-not-special food comes out in whatever order, and the wine list is overpriced. The “sharing plate concept” put me off, especially when they handed us duplicate copies of the menu to share. This place needs a rethink.

We were there for a silver wedding celebration, and the bedrooms were beautifully finished. At dinner, the food was fresh, carefully presented, and top quality. The staff looked after everyone attentively, including the two diabetic guests, and made sure all our needs were covered. It was a really lovely experience, and I’d happily recommend the restaurant.

We celebrated a birthday here, and every dish felt special. We chose five “Lake & Mountain” menus and got eight exquisite, original dishes. The Chef and his team absolutely earned their one Michelin star. There’s also a huge wine list, with plenty of hyper-local bottles from small producers. Bravo, I highly recommend it!

Stay overnight in one of the five rooms so you can enjoy dinner without worrying about the drive home. The restaurant itself is a great experience, with Chef Frederic turning local ingredients into superb dishes. The wines follow suit: rare and unusual, but interesting and tasty.

High-quality food at a reasonable price, in a cosy place with a friendly atmosphere. The staff, led by the owners, are warm and friendly while still being professionally attentive.
