We only booked one night to split up our drive south, but dinner on the lawn changed our plans and we stayed longer 😊. The setting is away from town and the rat race, with lovely grounds that aren't overly manicured, plus an outdoor pool and a function room. It's a beautiful, unusual chateau, tastefully updated with modern wiring and plumbing. Even the old-style radiators are controlled by wi-fi. I never asked the owner whether fishing in the lake was allowed.

The terrace is spacious, the gardens have a relaxed feel, and the swimming pool looks stylish. We were there for a wedding and thought the place was great.

We had a lovely view from our room, and breakfast was very good, with local produce. The owners were helpful and accommodating, and the hotel is beautiful, set somewhere peaceful. We'll definitely return. Thank you.
