The photos set higher expectations, so the room was a big disappointment. It was dirty and dusty, and the bathroom was just as filthy. Ants and rodents ran around above us all night. Breakfast was meager: no variety of bread, nothing savory, and just one prepackaged croissant per person. The place doesn’t live up to the standards suggested by its exterior.

The breakfast was good, a typical French spread with lots of jams. It confirmed what we’d seen before: chauvinism at its finest! The B&B is in a superb spot, just 10 minutes from a very pretty village, and the pool is lovely and clean. It was a shame, though, that the vacuum and hose were constantly in the pool. The place is nice but a bit dated. Our room was large, but not quite clean: there were cobwebs in the toilet and dust all over the skirting boards. The showerhead wouldn’t stay hung up, and the shower soap had been watered down. The bed was uncomfortable, too, hard, with awful pillows. We didn’t get a particularly warm welcome. The front gate was loose, so we walked in, and the host came out a bit annoyed. We were lectured like little children. That wasn’t a great start, and the explanations after that were much the same, quick, not very friendly, and very didactic.

A quiet, secluded spot, but still very close to the town center. It’s a perfect base for exploring Vaison on foot.

The rooms were superb and clean, just as described, and the owner was very attentive. It was completely quiet, and breakfast was perfect. Until next time!
