Stepping out the door into the Cité Médiévale felt like going back in time. It was glorious and magical, and I couldn’t stop taking photos. Lou was wonderful at check-in and went the extra mile. Breakfast was delicious. There are two ways to get there. If you want to avoid stairs entirely, google the route around the “back”, though technically that’s the front, since you can see the big sign from the bottom of the hill. I’d jog down the “front”, cross the bridge toward the skate parc, follow the bike path, then come in through the “back” door, which is also the entrance up to the Cité Médiévale. I visited in November, so the hot water was a relief. The heater was nice, too. There’s air con for summer, and with old stone buildings, I’d expect it to stay cooler than hotels in town. There was a heater in both the bedroom and bathroom, which was so welcome. I stay in nice places, and this definitely didn’t disappoint. If you eat healthy, look up BioCoop. Highly recommend!

The restaurant and breakfast were very good, and the location was superb. We were on a cycling holiday and stayed here before heading to Mt Ventoux the next day. The staff were so friendly. When I got a fish bone stuck somewhere in my throat, a Belgium couple helped me out and took me to hospital. They couldn’t help there, but the bone was out after 24 hours 😉👌

From arranging the reservation while we were in the US through check-in and helping us plan activities, the staff were incredibly helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable, with everything we needed. We had a great stay and would love to come back.

Our room had coffee and tea making facilities, and it was very quiet at night. The hotel is extraordinarily nice, right in the medieval part of Vaison-la-Romaine, with helpful staff, a good breakfast, and lovely views.

We had a lovely time at this restaurant and bar in the old part of town. Sitting out on the terrace with wine and tapas, looking over the surrounding countryside, was a real pleasure. Highly recommended.
