Ann welcomes you as if you belong to her family, and you can feel that this farmhouse beside the olive grove has been in her family for generations. We spent a long weekend there in October 2023 and won’t forget it. The stay was casual, comfortable, quiet, and spotless, with warm conversation over breakfast. Have a glass of wine at a table under the olive trees, and it’s just a five-minute walk into town. Ann’s adorable dog sleeps on the steps and prefers to be left alone. We felt like we could “own” a little piece of Romaine Provence for a weekend. Thank you, Ann!

The family who run this place live downstairs and own the surrounding orchards. They’re both extremely nice and speak great English. They serve a wonderful breakfast, and sell wine and olive oil from their own trees. The building and room are cute, decorated just right in a Provincial style, and felt safe and clean. The town is only a five-minute walk away.

During our week’s stay, we enjoyed bottles of wine from the hosts at very reasonable prices under the trees, looking up at Mont Ventoux. The area has so much to explore, and Laurent was happy to suggest places to visit and things to see. The place feels like it’s in the countryside, though the town centre is only a five-minute walk away, which still surprises me. The archaeological site is a must. I’d recommend hiring the audio guide, since it covers three sites, including the old ‘high town’, and adds a lot to the visit. Pick it up early, as you can keep it until just before closing around 5:30pm. We fully recommend Les Tilleuls d'Elisée and would stay again if we’re in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Les Tilleuls d'Elisée. It’s a boutique B&B a short walk from the town centre, set in a lovely one-acre garden. Our room was beautifully decorated and looked over the garden towards the medieval city. Breakfast was delicious, especially the preserves made by Anne, our hostess. It’s very reasonably priced too.

Vaison la Romaine is a beautiful town, and we even went to its amazing Tuesday market. We loved this B&B too: the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the owner was so welcoming, and breakfast was great. I definitely recommend it.
