The meals were generous and delicious, with quality ingredients and original recipes. The owners made us feel welcome in such a warm, genuine way, and the chalet is beautifully decorated. It's a magical, authentic escape in the mountains, surrounded by nature and right in the middle of a huge hiking area. A rare place where you can really unwind and enjoy yourself. We're completely charmed. Thank you so much. ;-)
Sorry this review is so late. We had an incredible weekend at the Lavis Trafford chalet. Arriving in the snow and walking into the tastefully furnished place, we felt at home straight away. Marc had the sauna and Nordic bath ready for us, and that turned into a magical time. We met the other travelers and had a great time together. Martine prepared a delicious, hearty dinner that we shared. Huge thanks to our hosts for such a friendly, timeless weekend. We highly recommend staying here!
The chalet is beautifully decorated and set in a magical, untouched place. Martine and Marc welcomed us so warmly and made the stay lovely. The meals were delicious, and we'll definitely be back!
We felt like old friends from the moment we arrived. The chalet is cozy and beautifully decorated, and our hosts were so friendly and cooked delicious meals. Our hosts were incredibly kind, and the chalet made for a very pleasant stay. The mountains around it are stunning, and after a hearty breakfast there's a great choice of hikes nearby. We went to Col du Petit Mont Cenis, Lac de Savine and Col de Savine, and also Col du Clapier on the border with Italy. The border marker has the fleur-de-lis on one side and the Savoy cross on the other. Other options include Refuge, Lac d'Ambin and Col d'Ambin at 2899m, Lac Noir at 2800m, Lac du Liaël, Col de Bramanette, Col d'Etache at 2799m and Gros Perron at 3041m on the border with Italy, and Mont Froid at 2822m.
