Chalet Skadi By Village Montana

We stayed over February half term, and the Chalet is in a nice spot. The recommended ski hire shop next door was really good, and there’s also a Spar and a pizza shop nearby. It was a busy time, but the staff made sure everything kept running, which we appreciated.

The location was lovely and quiet, with town just a five minute walk away if you fancy stretching your legs after skiing. The free ski bus goes past every 10 minutes if you’d rather take that. We also stopped at the Spar each night, which was a nice way to wind down after skiing. The apartment had everything we needed, and the staff were great. We had a great stay and will definitely come back.

This was our second year at Chalet Skadi, and we enjoyed it just as much as last time. The place is clean, roomy, and very well located. Estel at reception was so welcoming and helpful, always smiling and sorting out every issue smoothly and professionally. She’s the best!!!

Our chalet looked out over snow-covered mountains, and we had a balcony and fireplace. Ask for that type of room. The high, sloping ceilings made it feel even more spacious, and everything was spotless when we arrived. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom setup worked well for us, with a fully equipped kitchen and nice, full-size appliances. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, too. There’s a fully stocked grocery store next door if you want to cook, and the ski locker room was clean and spacious. We parked safely in the roomy underground garage, and the pool was lovely after a day skiing. The location was perfect for the ski lifts, and it was so quiet. There’s also a free shuttle to the slopes nearby. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and the customer service was top notch. You can check in around 2 or 3 pm, though the room isn’t guaranteed until 5. The wait was worth it. I don’t think we could’ve picked a better chalet in Val d’Isere, and we’ll be back.
