Hôtel le K2 Chogori

We weren't staying at the hotel, but its fine dining restaurant made for a memorable Christmas Eve. We turned up at 7:30 pm without a reservation on a very busy night. The staff welcomed us and tried to find space for our family. We were offered the Bar, which we were ready to take, but they managed to seat us in the restaurant instead, just what we were hoping for. The atmosphere was festive, with a singer in the background. The escargot, beef Wellington and Trout Wellington were amazing, as were the wine, cocktails and dessert. Most of all, the professional, attentive staff made us feel looked after and glad we'd come. Thank you for a memorable Christmas Eve dinner.

My wife and I spent five days here and loved it. The rooms are spectacular and the service impeccable. The junior suite had no view, which was disappointing, but after we mentioned it, we were upgraded to the mind-blowing Kamara suite. This was our second K2 property, after Courchavel, and both stays were top notch. Can't wait for them to open in Maldives.

The staff were the real standout. Everyone I dealt with, from reception and valets to the bar, restaurant and housekeeping, was polite, friendly, helpful and professional. Emilie, the head waitress, set the bar for hospitality. She was fantastic and got our mornings off to a great start at breakfast. She's a real asset to K2 Chogori. The food was fantastic at every meal, the cocktails were excellent, and the modern spa was very clean. The location worked well for both skiing and getting around town. The reliable shuttle was a big help, and having a ski shop with equipment hire in the hotel was really useful. The rooms are beautiful too. My one issue was that my room could get quite warm, and it was hard to adjust the temperature. I had a very impressive three-night stay at this smart, modern boutique spa hotel. It felt luxurious, and I'd recommend it and hope to return.

What made this hotel special was the staff and the incredible attention to detail. After a day out, the ski shuttle would pick us up from the slopes, and our belongings and cold bottles of water were ready when we got back to the equipment store. Everything ran so smoothly. The concierge arranged our ski hire and passes, along with all our lunch and dinner reservations, so we could relax and enjoy the trip. The hotel itself is pure luxury, but the service is what made this the best we've experienced. Our new favourite place, couldn't recommend it more!
