Our room had a fantastic view, and being able to ski straight in and out was amazing. After an eight-hour transfer in all the snow on January 10, we were just relieved to make it there. From arrival onward, the staff were professional and polite. Reception welcomed us warmly, and the helpful guy who brought our bags upstairs even offered to take us for pizza. Sorry I didn't catch his name. We were half board, and felt it was worth the money. Breakfast had loads to choose from, including made-to-order omelets, eggs Benedict, and avocado toast with poached eggs. The fruit juices were good quality, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We tried most of the dinner menu, and nearly everything was delicious: the prawn ravioli, garlic snails, scallops, chicken, duck, and fillet steak were all beautifully cooked. The French onion soup was the one starter we didn't enjoy, it had no taste. The evening restaurant team were also really good at their jobs, polite, and professional. Thanks to Sam for looking after us, and to Lena for working so hard waitressing. We had a great week.

We dropped into the bar at Le Fitz Roy for a drink after passing by and were pleasantly surprised. A fireplace in the center gave the place a warm, cozy feel, and the live singer was fantastic. Service was great too. One gentleman made us feel welcome right away and brought complimentary snacks and water when we sat down. A relaxed, chilled spot for a drink. We'd happily come back.

The little things made this one of my favorite hotels I've stayed in: the lovely interiors, especially the green bathrooms, and the cookies waiting in the boot room after a hard day skiing. The service and attention to detail were incredible, and ski-in, ski-out access was so helpful. Definitely the place to stay in Val Thorens!

Fitz Roy is always a pleasure to come back to. The team are warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the place feels relaxed and genuinely hospitable. Ski-in, ski-out access makes it such an easy, practical base, with skiing right outside the door. We had a great stay and are already looking forward to 2026. Maybe there'll be a Christmas tree in the hotel next time ;)🌲

For what we paid, the hotel's infrastructure was very poor, even though it's well located in Val Thorens. My wife and baby were trapped in a lift for 15 minutes without any support. Then our flat had a blackout for several minutes while our small children were bathing. These problems are unacceptable for this kind of hotel, and the hotel made no gesture to make up for those awful experiences.
