The location, directly across from the bus station, is the one good thing about this hotel. The place seems poorly maintained, and I found bedbugs that bit me several times. I took photos as proof. There was also a stale tobacco and cat litter smell throughout. The reception was practically nonexistent, with staff rarely around, and the service was poor when they were. The drawbacks outweigh the convenient location, and I strongly advise against staying here.

The staff were friendly, but finding bedbugs was an awful surprise. Getting home and having to urgently treat all my belongings with bedbug spray was no fun. The hotel needs renovation and disinfection urgently. I stayed there in June 2019, at the address the owner provided. I can’t figure out how to reply to their comment, so I’m doing it here. The photo was of a bedbug on the blanket, not the mattress. I stand by what I said and won’t remove my comment. They’re welcome to file a complaint; I’ll provide supporting evidence and won’t hesitate to seek compensation by filing one myself.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I’m leaving this review because they helped me out of a serious bind. I’m Brazilian and was in Valence with a dead phone, trying to get home. I couldn’t find anyone who spoke English to help me get a taxi, so I went into this hotel. A man named Anis helped me, and he was extremely kind and efficient. He speaks English very well and understood what I needed. I was very grateful, since he had no obligation to help someone who wasn’t a guest. He seems like a very good professional.

Warning, stay away from this place! I live across the street and it’s a complete mess. The manager clearly told me he doesn’t care who lives there as long as he’s on benefits. Avoid at all costs!
