The resort itself is quite nice, quiet, and has plenty of shops and places to eat, but I would advise anyone offered room 269 to ask for another one. We initially thought we'd have a pleasant stay because it had been freshly decorated. Then we entered the apartment and the drain and toilet smell was so bad it made me physically nauseated. We had a pet dog and were happy to pay the €35 they asked for his stay. We understood the accommodation to be dog friendly. When staff said someone would come by for maintenance, we explained we'd need to be there with the dogs. They then told us we shouldn't have them, despite French law allowing assistance dogs in such cases. After we returned to the UK, we were told they were keeping our €300 deposit. They sent a few photos of dog hair in a corner and on a mattress cover we'd forgotten to remove for laundering, plus a pot of fondue cheese we accidentally left in the fridge. I wanted to take it home for our fondue set. In the end, they said €180 was being kept for cleaning a tiny apartment and washing items they should have been washing anyway. I felt this was theft and disability discrimination, and that I was being punished for exercising my rights as a service dog owner. I acted in line with French law. There were also several maintenance problems: nowhere to mount the shower head, a badly patched tap, curtains coming off, and a bedroom window that wouldn't open, though I'm not sure if that was intentional. The bath plug was missing, and its replacement leaked so badly there was barely time for a bath. That was a problem since there was no shower.
