For a two-star hotel, it’s good value and very clean. The food was tasty and there was plenty for our boys. The team of five were so friendly and helpful, which gave the place a welcoming, family-oriented feel. It’s right by the lift and ski hire. Parking gets interesting when it snows!

We were stranded at 10 PM with nowhere to go, and the staff immediately helped us out. They found a two-person room for the three of us and even seemed sorry they couldn’t offer something bigger. Amazing people, 10/10. The location is great too, right beside the ski lift.

The people here made us feel at home and were so kind and attentive. That’s what made this our best winter holiday so far, and we’re already planning to come back next year. The hotel is right by the gondola and close to free parking, and our clean, cozy room was perfect for a good night’s sleep. Meals were a highlight too: a wide choice at the breakfast buffet and really good dinners. After skiing, we liked relaxing at the bar, playing the board games, and choosing from the drinks and snacks. Merci beaucoup! 🤗🤗

The rooms are quite noisy, so if you’re a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs. That aside, our second January stay at Hotel Valvrejus was a good one. The new owners have improved a lot: our refurbished room was nice, breakfast and dinner were better, and there was a different dinner selection each night. The dining room and bar have had a refresh too. The bar has plenty of drinks, fresh crepes and other small snacks, plus a cupboard full of brand new board games. The ski and boot room has also been upgraded, with lockers available, though we didn’t really need one. We booked another relaxing “Tuina” massage with Sylvia, who’s kind and professional, and good service after skiing makes a real difference. My partner has stayed here more often over the years, when the guests were a mix of ages. It seems the new owners are now focusing more on larger groups of kids, and we’re unsure how that will develop or whether it suits a hotel so well located by the ski lift, bars and restaurants. We’re looking forward to coming back next year and booking Sylvia again.
