Every dinner and breakfast was so good that we never felt like eating elsewhere. The food was delicious and carefully prepared, and the staff were kind and helpful whenever we needed them. I’ve stayed in all sorts of hotels, from luxurious to simple, but the genuine hospitality at Hôtel du Crêt Rond in Valloire really stood out. Thanks for a wonderful week, we’ll remember it. The family room for four had comfortable beds and a big bathroom, and we felt very welcome and relaxed. We came with friends for a ski trip, and the demi-pension was the best. Every evening after skiing we ate so well, there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. The service was discreet and done really well. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone after a relaxed trip and good food.

The rooms were clean and a decent size, and the hotel itself looks new and well cared for. Breakfast was average in selection, but reasonably priced; the room where it’s served is cozy, if a little small. What ruined the stay for us was dealing with a staff member who seemed to be the manager. She was brusque, almost aggressive, and spoke to us in a way I found disrespectful and unprofessional for a hospitality setting. I spend six months a year in hotels around the world for work, and I’m not used to being addressed like that. Her attitude overshadowed what could have been a pleasant stay and left a lasting bad impression. We won’t return.

Dinner was the highlight, and breakfast was great too. We stopped here during a road trip, and it turned out to be the best hotel choice of our vacation. The room had an authentic feel and was nicely done, though a bit small. The bathroom was especially good.
