Alberto makes a lovely meal and is a great host for a stopover. He's Italian and clearly passionate about the mountains and nature. We felt very welcome, had a wonderful time, and are already looking forward to coming back. I'd highly recommend a stay.

The rooms are simple and sleep two, three, or four people, with two shared bathrooms, one of them with a bathtub. They were spotless. It's a good place for couples or families who enjoy sharing space and exploring. Alberto knows the region inside out and has lots of tips to pass along. He's attentive and accommodating, and we really enjoyed talking with him. He also loves to share and make everyone feel at home. His chalet is a peaceful, cozy little haven, and we felt right at home. There was delicious Italian food and a delightful surprise each day, giving the stay a festive feel that took us to Italy, and maybe further afield. Such a wonderful discovery. Sharing a toilet and bathroom is easy to forget about once you're there. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, and Alberto can talk endlessly about the region, sharing his knowledge and stories. There are three rooms with three or four beds, which works well for families or groups of friends. It's an ideal base for hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring the Pelvoux area. We had an unforgettable weekend. Bravo, Alberto!
