Château Clément

We’d be very happy to return soon. Marie-Antoinette and her team were kind, friendly and always ready to help, including with restaurant suggestions and making things special for our daughter. Château Clément has a lovely way of welcoming you into their life and home for a little while, which makes the experience feel quite unique. We had a fantastic stay as a small family in this beautiful Château.

Breakfast on the Terrasse was lovely, and we were lucky enough to join the other guests for dinner, which is served just once a week. The owner even invited us to eat on the beautiful Terrasse when she saw us in a small garden area, and let us use whatever kitchen utensils we needed. Marie Antoinette keeps her home meticulously, and she and the whole staff made us feel at home. Our two little dogs got just as much care and attention. We had a wonderful stay at Chateaux Clement and will be back. Thank you.

We were upgraded to one of the more modern attic apartments, which had a small kitchen, washer-dryer, a beautiful shower room and two lovely queen-sized rooms. Our dog was made to feel welcome too. Marie-Antoinette works tirelessly to keep guests happy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, chatty, hardworking and ready to help. The breakfast was plentiful with plenty of variety. The Chateau is lovingly restored, with great taste and lovely surprises in every room. The grounds are wonderful and the view is breathtaking. The pool is a good size, and it never felt crowded since the Chateau only has a limited number of guests. We had a wonderful stay and I can’t recommend Chateau Clement highly enough.

The dinner on the terrace overlooking vals Les bains is not to be missed, and I’d also book a trip to the spa. With only 8 rooms, staying here feels intimate and authentic. The staff are attentive but discreet, and happy to share tips and make reservations for the best the region has to offer. Marie Antoinette has renovated the interiors with care, adding comfort while respecting the château’s original character. Our spacious room was elegant and beautifully decorated. I’m no architecture expert, but the charming towers around the square main building, the gorgeous woodwork and the original painted staircases made a huge impression on me. A little 5 year old guest called it “our chateau” after coming back from the pool, and I understood why. If you’re choosing between this and a luxury hotel, I’d urge you to stay here.
