KOSY Appart’Hôtels – La Maison des Chercheurs

After being ignored in my emails, I had to take the train from Paris to Nancy every morning for three days to try to rent a room in person, then travel back to Paris each night. They told me the previous afternoon that a few rooms were still available, but the next morning said there were none. I don't believe someone else had taken the room, and felt this was discrimination against me. I went out of my way to rent there in good faith, but got what felt like endless lies and hypocritical faces. The front desk staff, especially the manager of this apartment, had a very bad attitude, and I believe everything they told me was a lie. The room sounded terrible, though I'm glad I didn't rent it. This left me with a very bad impression of Nancy, and the worst impression of any place in France. I feel this Appart'hotel is marked by discrimination and lies, and hope they get their comeuppance.

The reception staff were friendly when we arrived. The room itself smelled of cigarettes, and the mattresses were extremely old and hard. There was only one thin pillow per bed. The photos showed a sofa, but our room didn't have one.

Nothing fancy, but it was clean and in a handy location.

The room was pretty dirty, with a sticky floor and dirt in the corners. Outside, pigeons were roosting on the balcony, which was covered in droppings. The place is only a step above a hostel, with the most basic setup, including fold-out chairs and tables.
