Domaine du Liziec Vannes - MGallery Collection

We spent réveillon here and had a fantastic time. This new boutique hotel from Accor M Gallery is just outside vannes, with fantastic decor, a spa and an indoor swimming pool.

The gardens, bar, and restaurant are wonderful, and the accommodation is spacious and large. The hotel has a beautiful presentation and a unique design.

The gardens make this a very relaxing place to stay, with a formal layout like a large Versailles garden and mature woodland. Our suite was room 132, facing the front of the recently redeveloped French Chateau, surrounded by extensive grounds. The hotel only recently became fully operational, and a few things still need attention: there was nowhere to hang a towel in the enormous bathroom, and the room was missing a safe deposit box. One was installed during our stay, which showed the premium service. There was also evidence of ongoing building work in the grounds and outdoor car parks. Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant were superb, with a gourmet formal dining restaurant on site as well, plus a great bar area. The car park beneath the hotel felt secure. We didn't use the indoor swimming pool, Spa facilities, or fitness room, though I'm sure they would be first class. Thomas at the front desk and Elodie in the breakfast room gave exemplary service. After a little time to mature and consolidate, a return visit next year should show Domaine du Liziec as a true gem in the 'M Gallery' crown.

The spa was a real treat, especially the relaxing massage with Ella Baché brands. The hammam and sauna were clean and well equipped, though a few more hooks for robes or towels would help. We also found the team friendly and skilled, and the restaurant had a welcoming feel for both breakfast and dinner. Our room, #145, was roomy and comfortable, with a huge TV and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was spotless. Since its window looks toward the garden that’s still being developed, a bit more privacy there would be welcome. The stairwell worked fine, but clearer directions beyond the emergency exit signs would make it easier to find your way. We had a tip-top stay and are already looking forward to coming back to Domaine du Liziec.
