Maison Douaud Vannes

The pool was really nice, and I enjoyed the one-hour aquagym class for seniors, which cost €12. The apartment in the Domitys residence was pleasant, and the location was good with parking available, but it only really suits a week-long stay. There are no hotel services: no housekeeping or sheet changes during the stay. We had to ask at least five times for clean towels, even though the staff were very friendly. Laundry was supposed to be done for free, but we decided to use the laundromat instead. For a longer stay, I’d suggest the Adagio Aparthotel in Plescop, though it costs more.

We ended up having to find another place to stay at the last minute and got no compensation at all. The rooms were empty, but they had not been cleaned, so we couldn’t go ahead with our stay. I had booked directly on the website, yet the reservation had not been processed. I was also never told on the website or during booking that the manor house is inside a senior living residence. Check-in uses the same entrance and reception as the residence. A very poor experience.
