I called it a house of horrors to my friends. The room was filthy, and water leaked from the ceiling right above my bag of clothes. After 2 a.m., the radiators started making an unbelievably loud, awful noise. The owner moved me to another room, but didn’t offer any discount or adjustment to the price for the three nights. It was a nightmare right before the wedding.

After a long day on the tourist road, this is a lovely place to get a good night’s sleep and breakfast. It feels authentic, the host is genuine, and the natural surroundings are full of wildlife. I’ll be back. Thank you.

The hosts were welcoming and discreet, and were available whenever needed. They clearly want guests to feel at home. Breakfast was enjoyable, with simple, high-quality products, and the spacious room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was wonderfully quiet, too. Château du Four de Vaux has the feel of a real castle, surrounded by a beautiful, peaceful park. Its authentic character made it feel like stepping into another era, a welcome change from an ordinary hotel. It’s not all ultra-modern, as you’d expect in a historic place, but that’s part of its charm. A lovely timeless escape for a romantic weekend or a chance to recharge. I highly recommend it.

The owners are wonderfully warm and attentive, adding a lot to the welcoming feel of the place. Château du Four du Vaux is a magnificent residence, with beautiful architecture in an exceptional setting. Its rich cultural heritage makes a visit feel especially immersive and unique. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for authenticity, beauty, and a friendly atmosphere.

It’s a lovely castle in a peaceful setting, and the host is pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was good quality, and the value for money is excellent.
