l'Orangerie de La Pontête

Waking up to that magnificent vineyard view 😍 was a treat. Such a warm welcome too. If you need a well-earned weekend away, go for it.

Christian and Yannick are lovely hosts, and the place is beautiful and quiet. Our room was really comfortable, and the homemade all-in dinner for €30 was delicious. Breakfast was generous and good too. Fresh juice, maybe citrus or local grape juice, and an espresso machine would make the experience even better. Thanks for being so kind and welcoming. See you soon, Maxime & Gilles.

We had a lovely room with a roomy bathroom, and a little outdoor spot of our own where we could sit and relax. The air conditioning was much appreciated, just a gentle cool breeze. The setting is peaceful, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade cakes and jams, fresh bread, pastries, cheese, and more. When the weather's right, you can eat under a tree in the shade, or take a short walk to cool off before a hot summer day. The property had been highly recommended at the wedding we attended that day.

We were really pleased with our stay at Château la Pontete and would definitely come back if we're in the south of France again. Traveling with our two children, we loved the peaceful vineyard setting, while shops were just a five-minute drive away and Saint-Émilion and Libourne were nearby and wonderful to visit. The hosts were incredibly kind and flexible. They moved us to a much nicer, practical room in a separate cottage, so we had plenty of space with the children. We also appreciated their honesty: after we booked through Booking.com, they called to offer us a lower price for a cot and extra amenities. A wonderful stay!
