We had a wonderful vacation at Le Grand Champ, and I’d happily visit again. The host was warm and funny, and even had some venue merch. There are lovely walking trails and local wine tasting nearby, too. The heated pool and the beautiful hills around Vélieux made it a great spot. 5/5

The pool comes with a playful rule: you’re only allowed in if you can make water “bombs” big enough to impress Jan, and swimming is at your own risk. There’s plenty to do around the property, including table tennis, hammocks, and board games, and everything was nice and clean. We spent five days here during our summer holiday and loved the vineyard views across the Languedoc region. Anne-Marie and Jan were welcoming and knew a lot about Velieux and the area. Ask Jan about the Cathari Path, a wonderful medieval hike to Minerve and back to Le Grand Champ. It’s only for experienced hikers, with breathtaking views and a real feeling of being in nature. We had a marvelous stay and would definitely recommend it.

The peaceful neighborhood was perfect for a lovely couple of hours walking, and we had a great time in Velieux. The house and pool were both really lovely.

Minerve is nearby, and it’s a lovely village you really must visit. The surroundings are interesting, while the house itself is huge and comfortable. The owners were welcoming, and the heated pool was a relaxing bonus.
