Hôtel Miramar

The car park was a struggle, especially with the hotel next to a stadium where the football coach yelled louder than my mom. At night, a scooter did wheelies in the car park right outside our window. I was afraid it might hit my car, and it was noisy too. Reception was hard to find unless you checked by the pool. There’s no elevator or AC, just a fan that was hopeless. The bathroom felt awful without a window, and the water pressure was so low that washing my hair took ages. Breakfast starts late, at 8:00 am, so don’t stay here if you need to leave early. Honestly, go somewhere else.

The rooms and pool area are beautiful, with stunning views, and the owners are friendly. Just be aware that although Google lists AC, the hotel actually has a fan and open windows. I’d stay again, especially when the weather is cooler.

The terrace and pool have breathtaking views, which more than make up for the simple rooms. We stayed four nights and had a heavenly balcony, a nice bed, and an OK bathroom. It’s what you’d expect from a three-star hotel, so look elsewhere if you want luxury. A short drive takes you to lovely villages like Saint Paul de Vence, tourettes, la colle and others, and the sea is 15 minutes away. For breakfast, I’d skip the hotel and walk into town for coffee and a sandwich at one of the many boulangeries. We’ll definitely be back.

The location is great, five minutes on foot from town, and the views, terrace and pool are lovely. The room was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. But the hotel didn’t have the basics that would have made the stay comfortable: no air conditioning, fridge or kettle, just a paper cup. The windows opened into the room, so I had to move furniture. There was a basic fan, but I had to perch it on a chair beside the bed at night and it didn’t help with the unbearable heat. I barely slept for the whole stay. The bar only opens at 5 pm, so there was no way to get a cold drink by the pool during the day. Even in the extreme heat, there wasn’t cold water. The hotel should offer daytime snacks and refreshments; that would make a difference. For the price, I wouldn’t choose it. If they listen to reviews and make improvements, it could be an ideal place to stay.
