Staff were friendly, and the tram station nearby makes getting around convenient. There are some nice restaurants beside the building and a big Carrefour close by, although the area of the city feels rather uninviting. The bedrooms were small and the beds were alright. They didn't clean the bunk beds. Shared toilets and showers on the floor were okay, a bit dirty but nothing unusual for this price range. As other comments mention, you have to go back to your room to wash your hands, which is inconvenient. Breakfast also felt a bit expensive for what's offered: cereal, fruit, and coffee. For the price, it's okay overall.

The room wasn't very big, but it was just right for our stay, and the hotel was nice, simple, cheap, and clean. Shared bathrooms and toilets were spotless whenever we used them, and were cleaned regularly throughout the day. The front desk staff answered all our questions about Lyon. The hotel is close to a tram station, and line T4 gets you to the city centre in under 15 minutes.

The tram is three minutes from the hotel. Take T4 to Gare de Venissieux, then the metro to the city centre. It takes no more than 30 minutes, which was perfectly acceptable. Tickets are sold at the station; we paid 25€ for two days for two people. We enjoyed our stay, and the rooms and toilets and showers were clean. The receptionist was friendly. You can hear everything from the hallway inside the rooms, though. The shared toilets and showers are in the hallway, but never too far away. Breakfast is really small, which makes sense given how cheap it is. Two days was fine, but I'd get bored if I stayed longer. You get what you pay for!

The only highlight was the Pokestop at the end of the corridor. Do not stay here, it was horrible. The reception smelled like urine, and the shared shower rooms smelled unclean with unhygienic flooring. On one day, the showers or toilets flooded the corridor. The shared toilets are in the corridor, with no soap or sink for washing hands. Some toilets had hand sanitizer, but it wasn't enough. No full-size shower towels were available free, for purchase, or to rent, and the small hand towel provided wasn't adequate. The hand towels and sheets smelled strongly of bleach. The cleaners left the window open, so we came back late to a very cold room, and the ceiling heater warmed it up slowly. The walls were thin, so it could get noisy and it was fairly easy to hear other guests.
