Le Mas Normand

A peaceful residential neighborhood in a charming seaside village, with the beach only a 5 minute walk away. It’s a great base for exploring the D-Day beaches and WW2 memorial sites. Sandrine was such a warm, friendly host and made us feel welcome even though we could only stay for 2 nights. There’s so much to see around here, so a week would’ve been perfect. Hope to come back one day. Thank you.

The property is beautiful and unassuming, and Mylene and her husband were fabulous hosts. We stayed here twice while living in Belgium several years ago, and it was a special place. Out of all our travels while stationed overseas for nearly 5 years, this is one of the few places I still remember.

Sandrine and her husband were kind and very accommodating. We booked the cottage at Le Mas Normand and found it really comfortable. We had such a wonderful stay, and the breakfast was outstanding.

Breakfast was one of the most varied and generous we had at any B&B in France: meats, cheeses, honeys, jams, and breads. Everyone seemed to arrive around the same time, and the good food, nice weather, and company made for a lively, enjoyable start to the day. Mylene speaks English, which helped us arrange our stay, and she pointed us to a nearby restaurant where my mom enjoyed mussels. The place felt quaint. Our rooms were artistically and comfortably finished, on the second floor of a small building apart from the main one. A little stream runs alongside it, with a pasture and white Charolais cattle across the water. Breakfast was served in an open sunroom overlooking the central courtyard. This was one of the top B&Bs we stayed at during our trip through France.
