We were the only guests, just like the previous review said. The hotel was dark and there was nobody around. Breakfast was industrial, individually wrapped pastries and a piece of bread with jam. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was fine, but the website photos are from the previous owner. Quite a bit needs attention, including breakfast. I'd pay more for a better meal and someone on site.

The dining room looked like a construction site, and the windows were filthy and barred. On arrival there were rubbish bins, buckets of dirty water, and toilet paper on the floor. This seemed like an abandoned, dirty hotel with nobody living there. They took a reservation over the phone and asked for cash. The website photos are ten years old. Warning, I'd stay away. It feels like a scam.

The place didn't catch my eye at first, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. There isn't much choice, though the food was very good, especially the foie gras and beef fillet. The fries are homemade, and dessert was good too. The welcome was warm and the products excellent. It's inexpensive for such high quality. The decor feels a bit classic and retro, but the food is what matters at a restaurant. It deserves its reputation. Thanks, go for it!

The room was very clean, and the beds were new. We were welcomed so warmly at this lovely hotel, it was a real pleasure. Thanks again for hosting our orchestra. We'd be very happy to come back soon.

Bad weather forced us to land at the Saint Florentin airfield, and Céline and Corentin welcomed us to their Hotel Le Phoenix near Saint Florentin. We slept well and had breakfast before leaving the next day. Thanks for everything, it was very good. Henri.
