For the kids, this was the best stop of the whole trip. They loved all the animals, especially the very friendly cats, and had a great time playing with them. The hosts also gave them chocolates, which went down well. The place sits in the middle of a park, with a supermarket nearby, though you'll need a car. The hosts were lovely. A few downsides for us adults: the washing machine was out of order during our stay, and my wife and I didn't sleep very well or find it as comfortable as our previous place. I rated it Excellent because the kids were so happy. Just for the two of us, I would've rated it lower.

We only spent one night at the cottage, "Les chambres du Vau profond," but the welcome was so warm. It was lovely and peaceful, and our six-year-old daughter really enjoyed it. At sunrise, we could see the horses from the cottage. We'd recommend staying here.

Breakfast was excellent, and the cottage was charming and clean. We found it a really unusual, relaxing spot that works well for families. The welcome was very friendly too. I imagine it must be even nicer in summer.

There are lots of animals, but the place is so peaceful. The welcome was really great, and you quickly feel at home. A great spot for families, I'd recommend it.

The owners were lovely, and so was the cottage. They gave us a warm, attentive welcome. It's incredibly quiet here, yet only a short distance from Saumur.
