ibis Versailles Château

The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable enough, and breakfast was enjoyable. The staff were professional. It reminded me of the two-star hotel we stayed at in París. I’d recommend it if you’re okay with limited space and want to be within easy walking distance of Versailles. Beyond the palace and gardens, there isn’t much to do, though there may be some shops to visit on a weekday.

I felt very safe here and the rooms were really comfortable. Amal at the front desk was so kind and helpful to me as a solo traveler, even helping with my phone. Ibis is in a great location, and I had the best time in Versailles. 10/10, I’d recommend it. Please come visit!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and when I asked for a quiet room at check-in, they gave me one. The food was great too. It’s right opposite the train station, around the corner from the palace, and close to shops and restaurants. My room was basic and fairly small, which the price reflects, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. I’d stay again.

The breakfast was well below par, with stale bread, in France of all places. The garage is ridiculous to find, it took us an hour to locate the entrance, and the tiny spaces would be hard to fit into unless you have a mini. Our room was tiny, with an even smaller bathroom, a broken shower, a hole in the shower room door, and a dirty floor. Everything needs painting, and there wasn’t even a bottle of water, let alone coffee or tea making facilities. We stayed at your Mercure in Hagen the night before, and it was much better. At the same price level, Premier Inns are far superior.
