The restaurant could be my favorite in France. Every dish was memorable, and it’s worth making a trip for. Château du Portereau is brand new and gloriously perfect. If you’re near Nantes, you have to book a stay.

Set beside the Sèvre River, this rare place brings together a hotel, guesthouse, spa, and beautiful green spaces, all planned down to the smallest detail. It’s just 10 minutes from Nantes, and honestly, I haven’t seen anywhere better. A real gem, and a memorable visit to Château de Portereau yesterday.
