La Colombine

The location was perfect, with everything in Vienna within walking distance. We also met the maintenance person by chance, and they kindly moved us to another apartment. Apartment #6 had a proper, comfortable bed, while the bathroom there was impractical: the accessible shower was in the middle, and after one shower the toilet was completely flooded. In apartment #1, the bathroom was spotless, but the broken sofa bed meant we slept on the floor the first night before being moved the next night. Its ventilation system (VMC) was awful. We had no parking. After several calls and text messages, the owner never responded. The host's number was useless; they should provide the maintenance person's phone number instead.

The apartment was very nice and reasonably priced. But “free parking” just means parking on the street, and finding a free spot in Sainte-Colombe without breaking the law is really difficult. The municipal police are constantly checking.

We arrived after a seven-hour drive with our two children, aged 2 and 4, for a reservation made through booking. The access code we received wouldn't open the key box, even though we'd had good contact with the owner at first, and nobody answered the phone. We waited at the property for two hours with the family, sitting on the terrace while hoping someone would find a solution. It's disgraceful and no way to treat customers. Customer service helped us find somewhere else to stay.

We booked the room on Booking.com but never received the access codes, and the owner couldn't be reached. My wife, children, and I were left stranded. No respect at all. Disgraceful!
