The building and rooms seemed really nice at first, but the staff made this a very disappointing stay. When we ate dinner at the hotel, they spoke badly about us in the restaurant, apparently assuming we couldn’t understand French. My partner accidentally left €50 on the table and I left a lip balm. They returned the balm without any trouble, but we had to demand the money before they gave it back. We were also told breakfast was included, then found out it wasn’t, and they charged the tax per day when it’s usually for the whole stay. One bad thing after another. I don’t recommend it.

One of our motorcycles was stolen from the garage. The manager and others at the hotel did nothing about it, and the police took forever to arrive. There are no words for how we felt. The rooms are very old and things don’t work. This was horrible, and the town felt dangerous too. Stay away for your own good!

The location is central, within easy walking distance of the bus shuttle to the ski slopes and close to the main restaurants and bars. It’s one of the best hotels in Villard de lans, though it does need refurbishing.

I was here for a company seminar and enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and warm, the food was good, and the staff were friendly. The seminar room had all the equipment we needed.

The hotel itself was good, but the return taxi it booked for us charged €115 to Grenoble station. That’s not normal at all.
