The place was clean, though old and in need of repairs. That didn’t bother us. I loved the swimming pool, and my partner enjoyed the huge scenery and painted several watercolours. Our room had a kitchenette, and thank goodness for the elevator. A staff member greeted us, spoke only French, but we managed to communicate, and she carried our heavy bags to the room. I fell in love with Residence le Diamant and will never forget Bollard de Land.

Marie’s Airbnb apartment is spotless and charming, just right for four people, and the setting is beautiful. The caretaker is lovely, happy to help and offer advice, and makes sure people respect the residence. Bring change for the pool table. You can walk to the town center and restaurants in 10 minutes, and there’s a free shuttle to the slopes that takes five minutes.

It’s a shame the pool is closed for renovations, but this is a lovely, peaceful residence with a green area to relax in. The center of Villard de Lans is about a 15-minute walk away.

We’d have given it five stars if every facility had been open. The pool and jacuzzi are closed for renovations. Still, it’s a superb residence, surrounded by greenery, with a large parking lot and an apartment that was well laid out with a very large terrace. The city center is just a short walk away, and we’ll keep this excellent address in our contacts.
