The mountain view was lovely, and there was room for our pet to stretch its legs without bothering anyone. But the apartment felt far too tight for six. The fold-out bed for two takes up much of the kitchen and dining area, while the bunk beds are squeezed into a windowless corner with hardly any space to get past them. The mattress and pillow covers smelled and didn’t seem clean, so I was glad I’d brought a sleeping bag. Finding the place was a hassle too: the parking is far away, and there are no signs showing the right entrance, so we had to walk through the building to locate the apartment.

It’s a privately owned building, so each apartment’s condition depends on its owner. Complaints about mattresses or other items in one unit don’t really say much about the building as a whole.

We stayed in an apartment that was fine. The village is an easy walk away, and there’s secure parking behind a barrier. The building is getting old, though, and comfort can vary depending on how individual owners have renovated and maintained their apartments.

The view from our lovely little south-facing apartment was splendid. Parking is the one drawback, since it’s right at the bottom of the building.

We had to clean and wash the dishes before settling in. They’d been put away dirty, and the blankets on the bedroom floor had clumps of dog or cat hair on them. The double curtains were broken, and there was a piece of soap left on the sink. The bathroom was so cramped it was too small even for one person. We were only two adults, luckily, but I was disappointed with this Maeva rental. I’ve stayed in much better places. Getting to the parking area to unload luggage was inconvenient. I don’t recommend it.
