The staff were very nice, but the terrace, garden, and pool weren't available because of COVID-related delays. Work was going on noisily during the day, and the website disclaimer made it sound much less serious than it was. Given how much this affected the peaceful alpine break we expected, no discount was offered.

We brought our dog for a January weekend, and it was great that the hotel welcomes pets. The staff were lovely, breakfast was very good, and after a full day hiking we especially appreciated the hammam, sauna, and jacuzzi. The hotel is also well placed, about a five-minute walk from the center of Villard-de-Lans.

The sauna and hammam were a lovely place to unwind, and breakfast was excellent. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly, and their restaurant and hiking trail recommendations were great. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it. Thanks again! Maylis & Cédric
