The village is peaceful and conveniently located, and we got great suggestions for hikes and other restaurants nearby. Our hosts were welcoming but discreet, and the house itself is stunning. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and plentiful, especially on the pancake days. We also enjoyed the healthy, delicious home-cooked dinners on a few nights. We stayed four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. My one small gripe: we were charged €10 for a cup of tea one day, which felt steep given the B&B price.

The staff made sure my stay went smoothly, and the chalet felt cozy and charming, with lovely attention to the design and furnishings. The mountain views were breathtaking. Whether we were unwinding inside or heading out to enjoy the surroundings, it all felt like a dream. A real gem in the French Alps. I can’t wait to return to Mineral Lodge! ⛰️🏔️🏠

On our third visit, we still found Mineral Lodge a unique kind of luxury contemporary chalet holiday. The lodge’s architecture is amazing, and little touches like the boot heater being on in the morning and the underfloor heating really matter. Alan goes out of his way to shape the holiday around what you want. We usually eat in because his food is just what we need after skiing, though some guests prefer to eat out, and Alan is flexible either way. The Les Arc area has vast skiing, while Vilaroger has very few ques.

The food is fantastic, and the hosts are very friendly. They speak English exceptionally well, and I’d say this has some of the best decor you’ll find in France.

The interior and exterior design are both perfect. It’s a guest house with lots of character, and I’d definitely book again if I’m in the area.
