The dishes looked lovely, but the flavors were what really stood out. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a star, even if the Michelin Guide never takes notice. The place itself has been beautifully restored, and the setting is something else. It’s about an hour’s drive from Dronero along a winding mountain road, so it’s a bit out of the way, but absolutely worth it. They have rooms too, though we didn’t see them. If they’re anything like the restaurant, they must be great.

We arrived early and had to wait outside in the cold for the owner, since there’s no service outside limited hours. Breakfast starts at 8, not 7:59. The room was tiny, although thankfully the bed was small too. I could’ve used a better shower as well. It wasn’t a pleasant stay with the family along.

The food uses local valley producers as much as possible. The place feels cosy, the welcome is friendly, and it’s close enough to the ski resort.
