The pool was a lovely way to ease our sore muscles after cycling, and the location worked well for our group of 10. The rooms were lovely and the meals delicious. New owners Michel & Marita were especially attentive and helpful. We had an excellent stay.

Marytha and Michel made us feel so welcome, and the hotel had a lovely, friendly atmosphere. We slept in a super room that was clean and stylish. Breakfast offered plenty to choose from, and dinner was delicious with a bottle of local red wine. A wonderful vacation. Margaret and Colin, April 2023

Our daughter had a great time in the pool and really enjoyed playing with Laurinda, the owners daughter. The owners went out of their way to make us vegan meals for both lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed our stay at La Bastidr. Thanks so much for having us!

We arrived just a few minutes before lunch service ended and were still welcomed warmly, with no sense of being rushed. The food was delicious and nicely presented, and the husband and wife team made the service feel polished yet friendly. It was one of the better lunches we had in the Dordogne.

A chance discovery turned into a memorable Sunday lunch. We were given a genuine, warm welcome, then had a leisurely meal of real quality. I had foie gras and scallops, then lobster and a sole, while my wife chose a truffle hors d'oeuvres. Everything was beautifully presented and truly delicious.
