Les Jardins De Camelot

Our dog had a great time playing with the owner's dog, and we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. We found this lovely campsite by chance in the heart of Bordeaux, right among the vineyards. It's wonderfully quiet, with no traffic noise, and a beautiful place to camp close to nature. I'd love to come back if I get the chance ❤️

The owners were helpful, though I didn't see much of them, and the location works well for exploring northeastern Bordeaux. There's also a great bakery about a kilometre away. It stayed quiet during our few nights, with a pleasant country feel, though the little valley means there aren't any views. You can find sun or shade despite there being fewer shady spots, and there are no marked pitches. Getting to the electricity outlets can be tricky, so bring enough cable. It didn't seem like a place that gets very busy. The toilets are tiny in both width and height, and felt cramped. They weren't especially clean, but this is a basic, simple campsite. Hot water is free. You can't wash clothes here, and there's no washing machine. The price felt high for this kind of camping.

Quiet, with lovely animals around, and the campsite sits among the vineyards. A really wonderful place.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at Delphine's, and the peaceful gardens felt like a little escape. It was so quiet that it seemed as if we had the place to ourselves. Delphine was warm and generous, always smiling, and the kitchen and fridge made it easy to cook properly. She even lent me a pan. The chickens were friendly too. Thanks for your hospitality, Delphine. I hope we meet again, and I'd thoroughly recommend staying here.
