Ecla Paris Villejuif

The breakfast was a letdown, with very little choice, and sometimes the plates and cutlery didn't seem properly dried. The gym is small, though it was in good shape and well maintained. My room was clean and nice, and the receptionist was really friendly and quick to help whenever I had a question. I enjoyed my stay at Ecla Paris Villejuif, found it good value, and would still recommend it for a short visit.

David was so patient with all my questions during the ECLA tour before I decided to move in. He explained everything clearly and professionally, and his calm, quick replies helped me feel sure about my decision. He also made check-in easy and stress-free. We booked through Booking.com for one night with family, arriving in Paris around midnight. The staff had arranged check-in and left our keys with security so we could arrive any time. The guard only spoke French, but Google Translate helped us sort things out. Our room had a kitchenette, bathroom, and other essentials, though it had cooking gear but no kitchen knives. Bring one if you plan to cook. The reception gentleman was very kind. While we checked out and looked for transport to our next stop, he let my dad rest for a short nap in the ground-floor lounge. We were comfortable here, and I recommend it.

This was my second stay. The 131 bus stops right outside, the price is inexpensive, and there are shared spaces including a library and gym. The kitchen is well equipped. On the downside, on the third night someone who seemed to be a hotel employee knocked on my door and harassed me. I reported it to staff and sent a complaint through the website, but got no response. The hotel says rooms are cleaned every three days, though that schedule isn't always kept. The shower pressure is weak, and the heating, which is capped at 23 degrees Celsius, sometimes switches itself off.
