Paris Star Hotel

The room wasn’t fully clean, though it wasn’t filthy either. It was missing a lot of what Booking.com had promised. Service was alright: the woman was friendly, but seemed a bit confused and didn’t explain much. It’s a bit far if you’re spending your days in central Paris, and the public transport is a 15-minute walk away.

When we arrived, she seemed surprised even though we’d booked ahead, and they moved us to a different area. The rooms were tiny and dirty, with no fan or soap, and the towels were dirty. The restroom was outside the room, too. When we tried to ask her about the change, she ran away. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were nice and tried to help whenever I asked. There’s a small shared fridge where you can keep things you might need overnight. For diabetics, it’s important to bring food in case of hypoglycemia. The hotel is in a rural neighborhood of houses, and there’s no food available there, despite what the out-of-date website says. I would have rated it better if that information had been up to date.

Nightmare of a hotel. I booked three days and left after one. There was almost no service, nobody at reception, and the staff didn’t speak French properly. I paid for parking, but it never worked. At midnight the hotel doors are locked tight, so if there’s a fire, you’re cooked.
