Résidence Sea Side Park

The rooftop pool has an amazing view, though it isn't heated. Our school trip meant we had no choice of room, but the one we got was huge, with two bathrooms, four beds, two double and two queen, and a full kitchen with cutlery. There were ants coming out of the tub, and no hair dryers. The employees weren't happy or particularly nice, but they were helpful.

The room was clean throughout, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view of the Mediterannean Sea and the Alps. Reception staff were very friendly. We got there at 7am after driving all night and were told check-in wasn't until 3pm, but they let us in immediately anyway. Most hotels wouldn't have done that. I'm very satisfied and would definitely come back. Based on my stay, I don't understand the mixed reviews.

The rooftop pool was nice and refreshing, and the rooms were spacious with reasonably comfortable beds. The bathroom was a little moldy and didn't feel very fresh. It's a bit far from the city centre, so having a car or taxi would help. I was happy with my stay overall.

Getting to the beach takes 15-20 minutes on foot even though the sea looks close, because the railway runs alongside it and you need to find an underpass. Trains were quiet and not too frequent. You can drive instead, with street parking and paid lots available. The beach was very good, warm and calm at the end of August, and not crowded. Cannes is 30 minutes away, Nice 20. Our family room for five was really two rooms with three large beds, and there was good space plus a balcony. Staff were helpful, and the rooftop pool was great, with views across the sea, city, and mountains. But one room had no window and felt stuffy. The AC took hours to start working, and the room looked very dated. The balcony door was the only source of daylight, but had no mosquito net. Wifi was spotty, working for only 5-10 minutes each hour. Breakfast was expensive, so we ate in the room.
