I felt unwelcome throughout a poor stay, mostly because of the service. When we checked in on the first evening, the lights outside the rooms weren’t working. We had to use a phone flashlight to find room numbers written in tiny ink on sticky paper taped to the doors. We had booked two rooms, and the light in one didn’t work when we entered. A male staff member said he’d send someone in five minutes, but after ten minutes nobody came. We had to walk back to reception, which is separate from the hotel, and there was no phone in the room to call them. When I asked why no one had come, he said, “I don’t understand,” laughed with his short female colleague, and walked away. She said she didn’t know why the lights weren’t working, so she gave us another room. When I pointed out his behaviour, she didn’t apologize or acknowledge it, just said, “ok, ok.” The next evening our room card stopped opening the door. At reception, the same woman said, “I don’t know,” when I asked why, then reactivated it without apologizing. There was no hot water in the shower, not even lukewarm, but after the earlier problems and with our departure the next day, I couldn’t be bothered to report it. On day three, the card failed again. Around noon the reception doors were locked, with nobody in sight. I rang the bell and waited in the cold for five minutes before someone came to open up and reactivate the card. Again, no explanation or apology. There was no bathroom floor mat. The top bunk was awkward and potentially unsafe to climb into and out of because there wasn’t enough room to get on or off, and someone could easily fall. The TV channel selection was rubbish, the bathroom was cramped, and some local guests hanging around gave the place a dodgy vibe. The customer service was poor, and I felt very unwelcome.

The rooms are tiny, but they’re inexpensive and the staff are very friendly. I stayed four nights.

We came from the UK and booked five rooms for the night of 19/08/2023. We travel often, but this was a filthy place to stay. The rooms were dirty and the toilets were broken. We arrived at 11:15 pm and no one was at reception. A notice said to contact security. The man we dealt with, “Ismail,” was very rude. He said they didn’t like people booking on last-minute websites and arriving late to check in. When we asked if the rooms could be on the same floor, he angrily said no, then complained that we’d arrived late and were asking to be together. We said it was just a request and he could have declined politely. He replied that customers had no right to ask and that he wouldn’t listen to them. He also said every member of the Asian community comes asking for rooms together. We told him he was being racist. When we asked if we could order breakfast for the morning, he said, “How can you ask this question at this time for breakfast?” We’d planned to stay another night, but this interaction made us decide not to stay any longer in France. I hope customer service in the country is better and that this man is just unfit for the job. Please shut the hotel if this is the kind of staff and service customers will get.

The building is small and has a futuristic look, like the famous Hollywood motels, and seems to be made from containers. The bathroom reminded me of an airplane toilet, though it has a normal flush. The bedroom itself is cozy and big enough for two, with a window, shower, toilet, wardrobe, and a little desk with two plugs. There’s free parking right in front and two restaurants just a few steps away. One is very tasty, with large portions and really good prices. I totally recommend it.

I don’t agree with some of the negative reviews. It’s a very basic place, but with rates like these in Paris, the rooms are functional and fine. There’s a supermarket nearby. The one downside is that getting to the airport or city centre by public transport isn’t very easy.
