The weather was great, so we got to explore some magnificent places nearby. Chantal and Lucien were welcoming and discreet, and breakfast came with Chantal's homemade jams. The setting is quite rustic, but it had the essentials for a very pleasant stay. I admire how lively and available they still are at their age. No surprise they’ve been running a B&B for so long.

Parking was right outside, and breakfast was good. This old manor house has friendly owners, with clean, spacious rooms. In our family room, the bathroom was built into the room.

Even though I never visited the property, I can’t recommend it after how this booking dispute was handled. I booked through Abritel, and a few minutes later the woman cancelled, saying she hadn’t had time to update the calendar. She promised to cancel it herself so I wouldn’t be charged, but about a month later a payment of approximately €200 was still pending. A complicated, partial refund then involved both her and Abritel, and Abritel kept approximately thirty euros in fees even though the mistake wasn’t mine. The woman first negotiated to avoid a refund, then denied making the schedule changes she was supposed to handle. During the difficult exchanges with her and Abritel, she blocked my phone number and made verbal threats to file complaints, which got in the way of resolving the dispute. That’s outrageous. If you stay there and a scheduling error leads to a refund dispute, it seems the outcome may be left to the owners’ discretion.

My mother was charged for a stay she never had to make, after the owner cancelled our reservation because she hadn’t updated the availability calendar. She said she would send the cancellation to Abritel, but didn’t. My mother had to find somewhere else at the last minute, and although she eventually got the reservation cost back after contacting the owner and Abritel, the booking management fees weren’t refunded. The calendar hadn’t been updated and the reservation hadn’t been cancelled with Abritel, so the errors weren’t ours. When my mother contacted the woman in charge to ask the vacation rental owners to reimburse those processing fees, the exchange was difficult. Then the woman blocked her number and threatened to file a police report for “harassment.” Is that how disputes are handled here? It seems customers are left to pay for the owners’ professional negligence, which is unacceptable. I can’t recommend this place. Things may go smoothly when nothing goes wrong, but problems show you who you’re dealing with.
