Hôtel Outre-Mer

My parents and I stayed at Hôtel Outre-Mer during our September trip to Normandy, and we'll remember it fondly. It has the feel of a small bed and breakfast right by the sea, with simple but comfortable, very clean rooms. Breakfast was exceptional, with thoughtfully chosen local food and drinks. Aurélien and the staff were courteous, considerate, and attentive throughout. They went out of their way to help us enjoy both the hotel and our time in Normandy. Aurélien also shared stories about the local community and its history, which added a lot to our visit. I couldn't have asked for better hosts and would recommend the hotel to family and friends. The cozy, peaceful lounge and our spacious, comfortable room with its lovely sea view made the hotel a great find for our Normandy trip. We came from the United States looking for somewhere special to enjoy the coast, and Aurélien and the team made us feel very welcome. They paid attention to the details in both the room and lounge and worked hard to keep us comfortable. We loved the Normandy cocktails and breakfast. Aurélien also helped book local restaurants for us and suggested wines from a South of France winery where he used to work. We wish we could give more than five stars. Thanks again!

Delphine, Aurelien, and the team were as friendly and helpful as hosts could be. The hotel is right by the sea in a lovely little town, and its personal feel is a refreshing change from corporate blandness. And I always give points to a hotel that has an egg boiler at breakfast!

Our car broke down right in front of the hotel, so we ended up booking a room unexpectedly. The town was busy and noisy, with lots of tourists, but the owner's kindness took us by surprise. The woman helped us check in, and we immediately felt at ease. Both owners were caring and did what they could for us, from warming oat milk for our baby's dinner to calling a taxi. The big bathtub was amazing, and the room was very clean. There was mould next to the tub, though, which worried us because we had a baby, especially given how much we paid. The room itself was quite simple, and breakfast was cereal, fruit, cheese, egg, ham, and baguette. Still, they did a lot for us beyond what we'd paid for, and we'll remember them as kind, warm people. Thanks so much.
