Bienvenue à la Campagne

The lack of privacy was unsettling. The woman lives attached to the property, with an interior door into the main dining area, and her family watched us from behind a curtain. The yard was full of weeds, with rubbish and broken equipment around, too. From the second day on, we weren't allowed to ask more questions or raise concerns. She was hostile and aggressive, even in front of the young children. When we wouldn't sign a contract written in French that she wouldn't let us translate, she tried to lock us in. We also found stained duvets, showers that were either dirty or flooded, and pool plates that wobbled. We moved the plates aside so the children wouldn't get hurt; she stormed out and took photos, then ran back inside when we went to explain. Nothing was provided, including bed linen, bowls, and towels, unless we paid an expensive extra fee. The hot tub and sauna weren't included either, and the materials all felt very cheap. She claims to be a friendly host, but that wasn't our experience. The photos are fake, and the only ones that are true are under the one-star reviews. Don't believe the lie, give her money, or bring your family here.

The owner was rude to us and the other guests. When we said the food wasn't very good, she told us to « get the **** out ». The food was expensive, too. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Be careful, this feels like a scam.
