La Bastide de Cordes

There are so many lovely spots to sit and spend time around the property, indoors and out, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. La Bastide de Cordes surprised us in the best way. Just outside Cordes, it’s in a great location, and Christian’s service was outstanding. The rooms are stylish, the beds very comfortable, and there’s air conditioning. We’d highly recommend it and will definitely stay again next time we’re in Cordes.

The weather made the stay a little disappointing, but we were very satisfied with the accommodation and sightseeing. The hosts were welcoming, helpful, and pleasant, and served a hearty, delicious dinner and breakfast. It’s a pretty, charming building, tastefully decorated, with peaceful green surroundings and an easy-to-find location. Parking is close by and accessible. The shared areas are spacious, the bedroom and bathroom well equipped, and the bedding, linens, and towels very comfortable.

The breakfast was unforgettable. Cristian asked what we liked and made extraordinary French toast, the kind that’s hard to imagine tasting again. It was all made up of carefully chosen local and homemade products, including delicious apple juice. We stayed at La Bastide de Cordes with our two children, and everyone felt comfortable and happy. The house is very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and warm. From the moment we arrived, Cristian, the owner, and his wife welcomed us warmly. They were kind, fun, and always willing to help, and we shared some genuinely lovely conversations that made the visit even more special. The place is beautiful, spacious, and wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by scenery that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. We barely took any photos, not because there was nothing beautiful to capture, but because we were absorbed in the landscape and the moment. The views really are incredible and stay with you throughout. It’s a place where you feel truly welcome and cared for. Highly recommended, and we’d definitely return.

You fall asleep to the frogs’ chorus and wake to a peaceful breakfast. It’s a restorative kind of place, one you don’t come across often. At Gîte Labastide de Corde, right beside the little cemetery in Vindrac, we found a timeless escape with an incredible view of the old mill. The building has its original character, with old-fashioned charm alongside modern touches. The beautiful Pomare armchairs, in that famous Emmanuelle style, give the place a wonderfully vintage feel. Céline and Christian gave us a warm welcome. We shared homemade aperitifs and grilled food with the other guests, and it felt convivial in the best way.
