The highlight for me was the kittens and puppies living on the property! It’s a cute, charming BnB, with characterful rooms in a beautiful, peaceful, idyllic setting. Breakfast was delicious too.

The exterior of Manoir des Cavaliers may look charming, but that was the only positive we found. We arrived in heavy rain, and the owner Gregory came out with broken umbrellas. He initially said we couldn’t bring the car in even to unload our bags, though eventually he let us after seeing how hard it was raining. The tour of the property seemed promising at first, and he told us we had the best room. Once he left, we realized how far the online reviews were from our experience. The room smelled strongly of stale, dirty odors, and the bathroom was worse, with a bad drain smell that wouldn’t go away. The kettle was filthy, and the water from it was so cloudy you couldn’t see through it. The bed, towels, and furniture were dirty too. There were disposable bathroom slippers that looked decades old and filthy. The tiny TV didn’t work, though when I checked Bluetooth, I could see a 70 inch one in the owner’s main residence. We couldn’t bring ourselves to stay and checked out within hours of arriving. We booked a five star hotel in town instead for £100 more. This place was awful. The owner never replied about the issue, and despite contacting the hotel immediately, we got no apology, explanation, or response. Our refund request was ignored, and Expedia couldn’t get one for us either. That was shocking customer service, especially when we had raised serious concerns and left the property. We had to book somewhere else urgently, spending more money and dealing with the stress of a ruined start to our anniversary trip. Hotels don’t need to be fancy, but they should be clean, welcoming, and responsive. Manoir des Cavaliers was none of those things, and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even enemies. Look at the photos and videos. I honestly wouldn’t even give it one star. Sorry, but that’s the truth.

Breakfast was generous and high quality, and the grounds and gardens were lovely to wander around. The room and accommodation were lovely too. The hosts were friendly and professional, and the location is ideal for exploring. It’s a hidden gem. I’d highly recommend it and plan to return.

I’d recommend staying here for some peace away from the big city instead of making it a day trip from Paris. The place is beautiful, the hosts are very kind and generous, and the plentiful breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. There are two adorable pups and a sweet cat as an added bonus.

We only planned to stop over somewhere convenient to CDG, and didn’t expect this place to become another highlight of our trip. The hosts were gracious, and they’d clearly thought through every detail. They made it feel like a memorable experience rather than just a practical overnight stay. The property was beautiful. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
