The half-board meals were homemade, carefully prepared, and really good for the price. I slept well too, thanks to the very comfortable bedding, and the gîte was clean. Each time I arrived, the new manager greeted me so warmly. She and her children are lovely, and my bed and towels were made up each time, which I really appreciated. It’s a quiet, pleasant place in the highest village in the Luberon. The gîte reopened under new management after being closed for a few years, so some things still need work. The manager knows renovations are needed, and I hope people can be patient while those are done. I recommend staying here, and thank my host again for the kindness and welcome.

The welcome was friendly, but the place wasn’t clean and felt far too expensive for what it offered. Sadly, when hiking in Vitrolles, it’s the only place to stay overnight.

The dinner was very good, and our innkeeper and his kind daughter gave us a lovely welcome. The village is magnificent, and the location worked perfectly for our hike across the Luberon on the GR 9. Thanks to the town for providing a stopover gîte. Places like this are less common now, but they’re needed to support hiking. We hope the planned renovation can keep its character as a stopover gîte, with its communal, affordable feel, while adding comfort for both guests and the people working there.

I popped into the gîte before cycling back down to Pertuis, and it was charming. The welcome was warm and the service was excellent. I also really enjoyed the homemade apple tart and a distinctive herbal tea with superb ingredients and flavors. I’ll come back and tell people about it. All the best!

We had the whole gîte to ourselves for our one-night stop during a mountain bike tour of the Luberon, which made for perfect conditions. It was a well-kept little place, and the welcome was excellent. Dinner was delicious, with moussaka and local strawberries, among other things. Breakfast and the picnic lunch for the next day were top-notch too. There was secure storage for bikes. It would be great to have a charging point there for e-bikes, though we were able to charge ours inside the gîte. Thanks to the hostess for such a warm welcome, and congratulations. This is an essential stop on a Luberon mountain bike tour.
